• The Philippines is a top choice for the business process outsourcing (BPO) industry because of the Filipinos’ innate patience, exposure to western culture, and fluency in English. The rapid growth of BPOs gave birth to Easy English Lab (EEL) in 2006. EEL was conceptualized to help Filipinos jobseekers increase their chances of getting hired by call centers.
• EEL initially offered Get Hired! , a train-and-place course for people who like to work in call centers. It ran its first class in January 2006.
